Hi There, My name is Glenn and I have been racing 1/8 scale On-road cars for 3 years. For the newer guys who have only joined the club in the last 6 months probably have not seen me around as I have been away. In fact I am residing in New Zealand and hope to start up a 1/10 200mm (Impulse) class here.

Rather than trying to align the holes by putting a 3mm hinge-pin in and forcing the holes to lign up, the easier and muchg better way to do it is by using a hair-dryer or heater.

In the end the race was won by Ed Maurer. He had used a similar approach, with an Impact2 rear and brake servo. But he had made the body out of plywood. That made for a too high center of gravity, and handling difficulties.... Needless to say this was an excellent event! Everyone had a great time, and I really hope we will have fun races like this more often!

After holding full power down the main (front) straight you enter the fast sweeper, where most of the time you are on maximum power until you hit a slow right hand hairpin. From the hairpin you go medium throttle into a left hand set of esses. This is the hardest part of the circuit to get right, once mastered you should be able to go full throttle through this section and gain almost 1.5 seconds.

DeSoto is using the DRX-2000 datalogger system and in stead of using the silver tape, he came up with a good idea to use the infra-red sensor of a remote control. Apparently it works flawlesly too.

Use a 3.4mm or 3.5mm drill to slighly enlarge the holes in the mounting flanges. This is not required for the NovaMEGA engine, only for NR, Top and Rex.

The Mini racing Ticino and Moesa (MRTM) was born in 1971 from impassioned that were pleased to let race their models on a track built to Magadino on purpose. It dealt with the first permanent track of the whole Europe and in 1975 you/they had organized the first European Championships.

Unintentional (or was it intended Michael?) the Excel rear positioning bracket happens to fit perfectly on the VETEQ rear chassis. The 2 ears on the rear chassis that were created for the rear down-stop adjustment, fall into the rear bracket with hardly any side movement. We could hardly have made better brackets for the VETEQ.

myTSN members can publish themselves on any event page. To keep things clear we expect mainly the people who actually participated in that race to publish their own 'personal' race reports. Such reports are listed as Member publications. They also appear on the member's page as a new publication.

With 2841 members registered and another 98 members waiting for approval of their membership, myTSN has reached almost the 3000 number by the end of the year 2000. Quite an achivement for this site that opened only 10 weeks ago. The first goal was to reach 2000 members by the end of 2000, and this number has now been exceeded by 50%

I just got a Serpent Impact 4wd 99 Spec and it is cool. I race in a parking lot track in front of my hobbie shop in the Spring and Summer on Saturdays only(maybe on Sundays). And I need to know what maintenece I need to do on my Serpent, like what should I put oil on where is it needed, so my car will be ready every Saturday and so I wont have any problems. Each Saturday I pr0bably run about 10 tanks of gas around the track for the whole day.
