Javier Hidalgo got Serpent\'s Spanish campaign off to the perfect start over the weekend when he won the opening round of the 200mm National Championship at Gijon driving a Serpent 720.

Setting the 3rd fastest time in qualifying, Hidalgo drove a great final to take the win by a lap of Kyosho driver Luis Cayetano. Driving a Serpent 710, Jose Casas made it a Serpent podium double.

The 720 also recorded the fastest lap of the race thanks to Diego Palacios who brought his example home in fourth position.
