New for the Serpent 720 is this overdrive conversion set that consists of two new orange anodised aluminium eccenters and a new 18T middle inner pulley. The new 18T pulley replaces the current 19T and due to the extra slack this causes for the front belt the new eccenters are more offset and ensures the belt is kept at the correct tension. To complete the conversion the user needs to swap the 21T and 22T side pulleys on the middle and rear lay shafts.
The benefit of this is that you can run a difference of 3mm diameter between the front and rear tyres compared to the 1mm difference with the original configuration. Being able to run smaller front tyres means they will now wear more evenly and that the car will suffer less from grip roll in the corners.
