Last weekend, in the fabulous track of Modelis/ Leiria, was held the first race of the Modelis / Serpent Trophy 2011 off Road.
With about 45 drivers, all the conditions were perfect to a very good weekend of racing, and some of the best Portuguese racers attended making a good show and a very competitive race.

After some rain during the week, the track was in very good conditions in Sunday, a very smooth and clean track during the qualifying sessions.

After a good dispute from the best racers in the qualifying sessions, it was Serpent 811 / Rodrigo Luis who take the Top Qualifier, only in the 3rd and last qualifying session.... very competitive in deed !!!!!!

In the semi´s, with the track already a little bit bumpy, Rodrigo won his semi final easily, getting the nº2 spot for the final..... Defebetly, a very competitive final was in sight.

With the track already very bumpy in some sections, the final started, and it was a 35 Minute battle for the top spot between Rodrigo Luis and Carlos Durães, but Luis defenetly took the top spot after a flame out from Carlos Duraes in the last lap, bringing the 811 Cobra to the finish line in first place.

Also, a very good performance from another Serpent driver Miguel Henriques, who finish 3rd, and managed to put another Serpent 811 in the podium.

Serpent want to congratulate all the Serpent drivers that attended the race.

Defenetly, it was a very good race. Only more 5 races will come during 2011. Stay tuned.
