Chris Lawlor claimed his first ever nitro touring car title in style over the weekend when he claimed his second win of the season to secure the ORCA 1:10 200mm Championship at the St. Annes Park track in Dublin.
The event which was the re-run of Round 2 of the ORCA Championship that had been rained off earlier in the season, saw Lawlor TQ his Serpent 720 for the A Final. Starting from pole he was able to cruise an easy victory over the Team Magic of Thomas Ward and Kyosho of Oliver Pauloin-Valory to claim win no.2 and the title.
Lawlor\'s success gives Serpent a clean sweep of the ORCA Championships as Michael Byrne wrapped up the 1:8 title with his 960 at the previous round.
