Top offroad driver from Portugal Carlos Duraes, joins Team Serpent. He will race the Serpent Cobra buggy 2.0 and will assist in the development of the Cobra buggy platform. The key races for 2014 are the NEO, The EC and WC and ofcourse the Portugese nats and some other major buggy races in Europe. He may race some 1/10 electric buggy races too with Spyder RM or MM and the E-Cobra buggy.

Carlos will work together with Easton, Tuhe, Flurer, Schreffler, Bornhorst , Reynaud and other Serpent Teamdrivers to develop the best set-ups and share them in the Serpent website with you.

Hello Carlos Duraes,

Q: when did you start rc racing and with which car ?
A: I started in 2007 with a mugen mbx5

Q: where is your local track located
A: It's in Oleiros, north of Portugal

Q: What has been your biggest national and international result so far ?
A: I got the Portuguese title in 2011, and finished 13º last year in the Euros at Reims

Q: Which class do you enjoy most ?
A:1/8 nitro

Q: Which classes will you run with Serpent ?
A: I will try run all the off road classes but for sure i will spend more time with the Cobra gp buggy 2.0

Q: Which radio, engine, electronics and tyres will you use ?
A;I am using Futaba radio and AKA tires, RB engines.

Q; What is your age and occupation ?
A: I'm 21years old and i'm studying engineering

Q: What is your favorite full scale racing category and driver ?
A: Moto GP and Valentino Rossi

Q: Which main races do you plan for 2014 ?
A: I will try to attend to Montpellier GP, Euros, Worlds, and some more.

Q: When and where will be your 1st race with Serpent ?
A: My first race will the in February at the Montpellier GP
