Early in 2006 Serpent Motorsport announced its pioneering 'Serpent Driver Development' program or SDD for short. Aware of the importance of encouraging young racing talents, who are the future of the sport, it established this new program to support, develop and nurture the careers of r/c racing’s most promising young drivers. Under the SDD program, four young drivers will be selected each year to receive factory support and tutelage from the five-times World Champion manufacturer.
In addition to receiving support and the use of a Mega powered Serpent race chassis for the duration of the season, each driver will more importantly receive technical support direct from the factory and become a protégé of one of the sports top racers, Serpent’s chief designer Michael Salven.

Kyle is the youngest member of our program. He came to our attention at the 2005 1:10 200mm European Championships at Halifax in England where he became European Junior Champion. In his first year as an SDD driver, Kyle made his first race appearance outside of his native UK and went on to retain his European Junior Champions crown in The Netherlands as well as doing a superb job on his World Championship debut in Australia.
