Presenting the new NovaMega SX21 Evo6 motor. Featuring a new 8 port ABC liner for optimised fuel flow and better top end revs, this new engine also features some other remarkable features.
The engine case and heat sink head are made from special types of aluminium that are created to have ultra-efficient cooling properties without sacrificing strength.
The casing features a large design for extra srength and cooling surface. Due to the larger amount of material, and extra strength that this gives, the engine is less sensitive to temperature changes by virtually eliminating engine warp. This has also eliminated engine lose caused by external forces caused by chassis flex and heavy impacts. These very important factors allow more efficient and consistent engine performance and also allow the engine to rev more freely.
The cylinder head consists of two pieces, a separate combustion “chamber” and a finned cooling head. The finned cooling head is made from the same alloy as the crankcase which allows for very efficient cooling. The head is anodised purple and features the 'MS' and 'EVO6' etchings on the top face.
The combustion chamber is made of an alloy similar to that of the cylinder sleeve, having the same characteristics to improve the overall construction. The assembly totally seals off the compression chamber to provide the highest possible compression and thus maximum power. Comes fitted with an ultra turbo glow plug.
The crankshaft is a silicone embedded, lightweight 14mm diameter, balanced turbo type precision crankshaft. The intake through the crankshaft is optimised to allow a continuous flow of the vaporised fuel/air mixture into the crankcase. Counterweights are used to offset the weight of the connecting rod pin and crank porting. Making it more reliable, vibration-free and increasing top-end revs.
The EV-6 comes with a fully adjustable 9 mm heat insulated aluminium carburettor. It has a plastic interchangeable venturi, to control your engine’s fuel consumption. Simply change the venturi to change the consumption.
The special aluminium used for this carburettor aids cooling and helps to maintain consistent settings. This version of the carburettor uses 2 needles, with the removal of the rear needle, to make adjusting simpler and more user friendly.
The micro casted piston (MCP), is CNC machined from a high grade aluminium. It is very light and features a dish on the top face to allow higher compression rates by minimising the combustion chamber.
The EV6 uses a R5 conrod with 2 bronze bushings and deep lubrication lines. These conrods have 5mm bronze bushings and are extremely reliable.
The sleeve on this engine is an 8 port ABC type. The 8 ports have been designed with fluid dynamics to optimise the through flow of the fuel therefore increasing the power, while at the same time taking care with the fuel consumption.
The large crankcase backplate is fitted with an 0-ring groove and 2 aerodynamic lugs for improved mixture flows and lubrication. The backplate also features countersunk screws to aid the insertion and removal of your engine from your car.
