Introduction

Introducing the MF21 5P OFR, the latest Novarossi based motor in the Mega engine line from tuning master Massimo Fantini. Featuring 5 ports, high quality bearings and lightened & hardened crankshaft, this 3.5cc motor is for serious buggy racers.

Crankcase

This black anodised crankcase has been forged from high grade aluminium and is therefore very strong and highly durable. The design incorporates many cooling fins to keep the temperature under control whilst the internal porting ensures optimised gas flow.

The crankcase features high quality bearings throughout for better durability and smooth rotation of the crankshaft, while the front bearing is rubber sealed to protect the engine from dirt. The outside of the crankcase sports the Mega Symbol on the front side and the MF21 logo on the rear side.

Cooling Head

The orange anodised cooling head has been newly designed with the machined cooling fins receiving a new look. The 9 fins have also been given more surface area to allow the heat build up to be dissipated more effectively without the need to be taller. The top of the cooling head sports the Mega Symbol, MF21 logo and the engine categorisation symbols, all laser etched.

Combustion Chamber

Made from the finest quality alloy, the combustion chamber is precision made to ensure a perfect seal, even under extreme temperatures. Standard type Glow plug is supplied.

Crankshaft

The crankshaft has been lightened in the center and filled with red silicone for smooth fuel flow while the bell crank has been hardened and sports a large turbo scoop to ensure even better fuel flow up to the combustion chamber.

Sleeve

This 5 port high-density hard-chromed sleeve, has been optimised to provide plenty of bottom end torque with good mid range power.

Piston & Conrod

This piston has been made using micro casting which gives it a denser surface so it has a smoother movement and is more durable. It also features 2 oil rings around its circumference for aiding lubrication and 2 holes in the piston for cooling the wrist pin.

Utilising bronze bushings top and bottom the conrod is a Novarossi R4 type which has been optimised to be more aerodynamic as well as very durable.

Carburettor

This easy to adjust 2 needle Novarossi carburettor maintains its needle settings, regardless of temperature, thanks to its design and the materials used in its construction. This carburettor comes with 3 different venturies that can be easily interchanged to fine tune your fuel economy.

Backplate

The crankcase backplate is cast and features a 0-ring groove and 2 aerodynamic lugs for improved mixture flows and lubrication.

Packaging

Comes in a Mega box along with instruction manual and decal sheets.
