Serpent Driver Development programme member Kyle Branson broke into the big time over the weekend when he took his first ever British National Championship win.  Racing in the third round of the 1:10 200mm championship at Mendip the 14-year-old ace took his Serpent 720 to a 2-lap winning margin.

Young German racer Tobias Hepp has been announced as the latest emerging young talent to be signed up to the Serpent Driver Development program which aims to assist up and coming racers in their quest to reach the highest levels of the sport.

14-year-old Tobias has been racing for 5 years and has made a big impression in his home country.  Winning his first major rc championship title in 2004 he has for the past two seasons been the German 1:8 National Junior Champion.

Serpent British Champions Richard Hicklin and Mark Green gave the 960 '07 a great to finish to the BRCA National Championship with the pair claiming 1-2 in the eleventh & final round at Brookland over the weekend.

Outgoing champion Hicklin qualified fifth with new 1:8 Champion Green the Top Qualifier but in the final Hicklin just pipped the pole sitter to take his second win of the season.

Young talent Kyle Branson secured his third podium finish of the 2007 British 1:10 National Championship recently when he steered his Mega powered 720 to third in penultimate round of the series at Wrexham.

Making his first visit to the Welsh circuit, Kyle set the fastest lap time of the event in the heats to qualify 3rd for the A Final. Rain made the 30-minute encounter tricky but the Serpent Driver Development team member drove a superb race to maintain third finishing less than a second behind second place at the finish line.

Serpent Driver Development member Kyle Branson was again in top form for the latest round of the BRCA 1:10 British National Championship making the A Final for the 5th time this season.

Racing at the Brookland track in the 5th Round of the Championship, the 13-year-old qualified 4th fastest of the 65 entries missing the TQ time by just 4 seconds.

SDD's Branson continues A Final performances (13/06/2007)

Kyle Branson maintained his impressive run of A Final appearances in the BRCA British 1:10 National Championship over the weekend by finishing 6th in the fourth round at Cotswold.

Qualifying his Mega MF powered Serpent 720 8th fastest of the 80 competitors who travelled to the Gloucestershire, the 13-year-old drove a strong final making up to places to finish a fine 6th while mentor Mark Green took his 720 to victory.

Currently 2nd in the National Standings, Kyle's next championship encounter takes him to the Brooklands track on July 1st where last year he finished on the podium.

Branson stars at Portuguese GP (05/06/2007)

Kyle Branson, a member of the Serpent Driver Development program, was one of the stars of the EFRA GP of Portugal over the weekend with the younger charger setting the third fastest time in qualifying for the event.

Racing his Mega powered Serpent 720, the BRCA British National Championship contender drove superbly at the Lisbon track which will host the 2008 IFMAR 1:10 Worlds to line up behind established international stars Francesco Tironi and Martin Christensen.

Starting 3rd for the 45 minute final, which saw 5 Serpent 720 on the grid, the SDD driver was to retire just after the half...
