Dear Racers,
A update about what is going on on the Gulf Coast Raceway in Houston.
Dear Racers,
A small report after the first 2 rounds at the World championships at the Gulf Coast Raceway in Houston.
Hello fellow Serpent Racers;
This past weekend we had our annual Sour Grapes Race to hand out trophies from the Florida State Series. We had a typical State Race format, running 4 rounds of qualifiers and then the mains. I should up saturday morning to break in a motor and try some thing out on my 733. I am playing around with the set-up trying to get ready for the Worlds in July. We had temps in the upper 90's and track temps around 140. The competition was good as Paolo, Tosolini and myself all ran sedan to push and see what we can improve. Toso ran his Capricorn, so this helped us to compare...
Paolo Morganti TQ'd the On-road State series with Serpent 966.
DJ Apolaro ( Serpent 966) was also very fast and was within a second.
Paul Ciccarello, who also switched to Serpent 966, qualified 5th in his first race with Serpent 966.
Rain washed out the 8th scale finals so results are Paolo 1st, DJ 2nd, Paul 5th, me 9th. Finals 4 Serpents, 5 Mugens and 1 Motonica.
We ran on the Worlds layout and everyone liked it a lot. Fast, flowing... Fast lap was DJ with 17.7 sec lap.
Team Serpent America
The Serpent drivers doing well at the warm-up, even when top 4 was out of reach for now. Many diferent brands to be found in the top 20, so no real domination visible.
Lots of things have been tested and data collected for further test later this year. During our 1st test in November 2009, weather and lap-times were very diferent from now and has major influence. During the real WC it will be blazing hot, so different again.
With Serpent 733, Paolo is Serpents fastest in 9th, with DJ in 11th, Scott in 12th and Mazzeo in 14th.
Full results below.
Main final at 15.00 Houston time.
DJ with Serpent 733, made his way to the podium and was close to even take 2nd place.
Very hectic final.

Hello fellow racers,
This past week was the annual Winternats held at the traditional Fort Myers track. Last year I won the sedan class and was hoping to repeat. I showed up on Sunday for the first day of practice. Myself and Paolo got there and started running in motors and just getting a feel for how the traction was going to be. For the first day I decided to start with just the 1/8 scale and would save the 2nd day of practice for the sedan. That way there would be more traction and I could start working on the chassis. From the start of the week I felt like neither of my cars were getting...
The USA Winternats in Florida are held this week.
Less international attendance as before, but still a big race and well organised as always.
Qualifying goes well for Serpent , see the results below. 2 places in the final let for bump ups form the lower finals.

Hello Fellow Racers,
This past weekend was the 4th round of the Florida State Series. Normally I run sedan or both 1/8 scale and sedan. I am leading the points for sedan, however I made a choice to concentrate more on 1/8 scale for the next few months, as the competition is higher in the 1/8 scale class.
I got to the track with my friends on Friday morning and we set up out pits. I was the only one of us running 1/8 scale and I was going to help them battle for the sedan class. I was looking to learn more about the 1/8 scale, as I am never really satisfied, like I am with the sedan. I started...
