Hello everybody!
This year the 1/8 World Championship was held in Lostallo, Switzerland.
The track had been opened since thursday, so we arrived at the track on wednesday evening in order to arrange everything in the container.
During the first days, until monday, we had four testing rounds per day. You know this is not much but fortunately we had already been there for the pre-worlds and for some other practice, so I already knew the track and we had also a good set-up to start with. Due to work, I could only get to Lostallo on Wednesday evening and started testing and setting up my car on Thursday. Since my Dad had to work the entire week, I was on my own and had no dedicated mechanic.

Michael, Bertram and Stef from Serpent took me under their wing and things worked pretty smoothly.

Valentino Rossi tried the Serpent 960 from a local driver in march, and now late april had another go at rc racing with some assistance of Andrea Cristiani, racing the Serpent 966 / Max Power.

After qualifying on saturday it was Pietsch on pole and  Andrea Cristiani (Serpent/Max) in 2nd position and Ermen with 966 in 3rd.

Andrea C. is very pleased with the handling of the car and feels very strong for the final.

In the final in the 1st lap Andrea C had a crash and this broke the radio-crystal in his car, so he had to replace it and come back into the race lateron.

Last week-end I tested for the first time my 966 during a race in Fiorano. Really good!!!
 
One week and a half ago I received the 966 conversion kit. During the following evenings me and my father prepared the car. The assembly went very well with a perfect fitting of all parts. Great job Michael!

Last week-end the world famous Fiorano track hosted the AS Hobby Racing trophy. My new 966 had been ready since a week but due to university exams I couldn't put it on the track before...

Q: How was the winter for you, too long and no racing or ?
A: Winter is always too long…and too cold for racing. Anyway I had some races despite bad weather conditions…I can’t stay without racing.

Q: are you studying ( if yes what ) or already working ( if yes what) ?
A: I’m studying at the university. I’m attending the first year of mechanic engineering…

Promising young Swiss driver Shasa Lackner took the biggest title of his career on Sunday when he was crowned the 2008 EFRA European 1:8 Onroad Junior Champion in Valencia, Spain.

The Serpent 960 '08 driver finished a very creditable 29th overall from the 129 car field to claim the title for the higest placed driver under 17 years of age.

Cristiani takes 960 to Novarossi victory (03/06/2008)

Last weekend saw the annual Trofeo Novarossi race take place at the famous Italian Fiorano circuit. Some of the sports greatest drivers were in attendance including Collari, Ielasi, Picco, Solaroli, Pirani and Balestri but it was Serpent's own Andrea Cristiani that took the victory with his 960.
