Before the race

Despite the good result at the DHI Cup I've changed the basic setup on my Serpent. With the new setup I was able to drive very good lap times on my home track. Sunday before the race I was in Vamdrup practicing on the permanent indoor track. I was able to fine-tune my car and I tried various tire additives. The carpet is the same...

On Saturday 21.1.2012 the opening race of the winter series Open Tour Trutnov was held.
64 drivers took place in 4 categories. An "open" category was the strongest one with 34 drivers and among these drivers we could see the toughest fights for a victory as well.

In the end both TQ and the victory took a young driver Michal Blahovský with a Serpent S411 car.

Friday’s practice

Unfortunately the practice did not well at all, the car felt relatively OK but it was too slow and after the first timed practice I was on 17th place :-(! In the second session it was even worth, I was 21st!)

Last weekend Homestead RC Raceway was once again the host of the Novarossi Challenge. With sunny sky and a beautiful Florida weather in the mid 70"s, everything was set to have a great weekend of racing.

After a full day of practice the qualifications were underway and at the end was Paolo Morganti that claim the top spot with Serpent 966-TE.

After extensive testing at the circuit de Luxembourg city, Vincent is impressed by the performance of this new car. Without hesitation he joined the team Serpent LuxModelisme for the 2012 season. I will make the European Championship with Serpent 966 TE.

I started off with 2 different 411 cars to see which worked better as starting point.

We had 4 practise runs, run 1 with car 1, run 2 with car 2, and last 2 runs with 411 that felt best. In the 3rd run I was always in the top-3 which was excellent. Last run was worse result as I needed to run in a set of tyres...

Sarawak, Malaysia : Serpent bags both 1/10 & 1/8 GP title.

A great way to start off 2012, as this new track was complete late 2011.
Track was one of a kind in Malaysia as it is built on top of a shopping Mall 5th floor and track surface cement with waterproofing applied.
Surface condition was tricky for all racers, and tire selection...

Luca Piromalli has decided to run the Serpent 966-Team Edition from now on.

He made a test at the track in Cassino recently and was very impressed with the speed and handling of the Serpent 966 -TE.

Luca Piromalli will join all main Italian races and the Euro's. Together with Mazzeo, Tedechi and more strong Italian drivers team Serpent is ready for 2012.
